With our big Ploughing Championships launch just around the corner, the Pretty Bird team had to miss Electric Picnic this year. So to make up for it, we caught up with Maura C for her festival highlights and more!
PB: Camping in the rain, how bad was it?
MC: Camping is soooo hard….and we were glamping!! It was still hard work! The rain is a nightmare!
PB: What about your Festival Shtyle Maura? How did you get on with our Pretty Bird gear?
MC: I got the Viking Yellow Wellies and Paisley Rain Poncho for this year’s Electric Picnic, and they were the best things I bought all year. The wellies were so comfortable; it was literally like wearing runners all weekend with the benefit of keeping your feet dry and mud-free. Literally not one drop of water got in over or through the wellies; my feet were bone dry…and they are so stylish looking and perfect for a festival. What’s more, they were a bargain; great value. The heavens opened on Saturday (as it usually does in Ireland during festivals!), and I had the poncho ready in my bag. Again, I was bone dry and actually looked dressed up and festival -ready, something I thought wouldn’t be possible in the lashing rain! When I made it back to my tent that night, I left it hanging up to dry, and I popped it in the handy carry pouch the next day, put it in my bag, and hit the festival again. Luckily, the rain stayed away that day, so I didn’t need it. These items are festival essentials for any woman!
PB: What was your EP Festival Highlight Maura?
MC: We came across this band from Waterford called King Kong Company. Pure dance which isn’t necessarily my thing, but they were unreal and got the party started at 4 or 5pm!
Huge thanks to Maura C for chatting to us, don’t forget to tag us in your EP pics using the #PrettyBirdStyle.
