Pretty Bird – Dermot and Dave Jingly Bits

Introducing the hilarious and now long-lasting legacy of our business – our Dermot and Dave Today FM Jingly Bit!

I had no idea what to expect but knew it would be hilarious and boy oh boys did the boys deliver. So here it is – here is the full interview and our Jingley bit. Are you ready?! Ok 5, 6, 7, 8…

We’ve been very lucky so far to have received a lot of interest in our little business. August was a really exciting month for us, our website went live, sales started to roll in and two Irish farming powerhouses put a spotlight our business – Agriland and Irish Independent. Then we call got on Friday 31st August that sent our excitement levels throught the roof!

I was off work with Momentum that day, early that morning I was in Tullamore for the National Ploughing Championships media launch (blog post in progress on that!). I was just home and having some lunch with my husband Raymond, his sister Laura and my mother in law Margaret when I got a call on my mobile from a Dublin number.

When I saw the call coming in from an unknown Dublin number, I didn’t think too much about it as I have been getting lots of calls from press, potential investers and lots of other interesting people over the last few weeks.

When I answered the call, I heard a familiar voice that I couldn’t place. It wasn’t until she said her name that the proverbial penny dropped. “Hi Grace, how are you? This is Maria from Today FM,” she said.

It’s safe to say I nearly dropped along with the penny!

I took to the garden to chat Maria. She explained that they got she had received the email I sent to them about my business and that they had selected Pretty Bird to be next weeks jingle. And the rest they say is history!

So what happened after our jingly went live? Well our website broke as they often do! But the lads made a good joke about it! Then we had a bit of craic on Twitter as I was flying out of the country for a wrok trip that day. No Ryanair red carpet out but how bad!
